Panthers Chasing League Crown

The Lady Panthers got another win last week, so they were tied for the league lead with Mechanicville as this week began, with identical 11 – 1 records, with both teams having one league game left to play. Mechanicville is the Panthers’ only loss this season.

HF 10 – Granville 0

Granville HS, 10/8, HF (O) 11-3, (L) 11-1. The Lady Panthers were very poor guests on this day. The Panthers scored at will and held host Granville without a score. Jordyn Haynes scored two goals and added three assists for good measure. Taylor Mann, Meg Flynn, Angela Gonzalez, Janessa Leva, Ashley Foster, Sydney Eggsware, Jayde Tutunjian and Anna Brewer each scored a goal. Gonzalez and Wysocki had two assists, while Leva, Flynn and Mann each recorded one. Tutunjian had 1 first half save, while Kelly Pine stepped into goal for the second half and had three saves.

HF 6 – Greenwich 0

HFCS, 10/13, HF (O) 12-3, (L) 12-1, G (O) 2-13. Senior Game. In the first half Jordyn Haynes scored the lone goal for a 1 – 0 lead, the Panthers came out blazing in the second half. Darien Morgan scored twice, Taylor Mann, Kelly Pine and Meg Flynn each scored once.

Coming Up:  Thursday, October 15, Tamarac at Tamarac, 7 pm. Sectional matchups to be announced soon. Mechanicville also plays Stillwater Thursday in a 7 pm start at Mechanicville.[private]
