Stephentown Republican Candidates

Lorri Parisi, Chair of the Stephentown Republican Party has announced the Party’s candidates for next month’s election.

Larry Eckhardt will be their candidate for a third term as Town Supervisor.

Aldie Goodermote will be the candidate for another term as Highway Superintendent, cross endorsed by both the Republican and Democratic Parties. 

[private]Stephanie Wagar will be running for a third term as Town Clerk.

Two seats on the Town Council are up for election, one currently held by Democrat Bill Jennings, who is running on that ticket for reelection, and another seat that was held by John Meekins who was appointed Town Justice last year. That seat was left vacant this past year. The top two vote getters will take the positions. The Republican Candidates will be Bob Parisi and Jason Guilbeault.

Parisi said that Bob Parisi is a blacktop plant operator for Lane Construction in Lenoxdale, MA.  He has lived in Stephentown since 1986 where he raised his two children, now adults, who also live and vote in town. Jason Guilbeault has lived in Stephentown most of his life and served on local fire departments for nearly 20 years. He is employed as a Corrections Officer at Greene Correctional Facility in Coxsacki. Parisi said that Guilbeault keeps a Facebook page in order to be more accessible to everyone in the community and he pledges to respond individually to any inquiries or requests that people send him.

The Republicans will not have a candidate in this election for Tax Collector.[/private]
