Anna M. Thurber

Cambridge – Anna M. Thurber, 88, passed away Monday November 2, at her residence on Lake Lauderdale, surrounded by her family and beloved dog Angel. [private]She formerly resided on River Street in Hoosick Falls and was the wife of the late Albert Thurber. She and Albert were married in Germany on August 8, 1958.

Anna was born in West Germany on October 25, 1927, and was educated at schools in Germany. She was employed at Barclay’s in Hoosick Falls for twenty-one years and at Harrison Vending for eight years. Anna was a former member of the VFW # 1332 in Bennington and the Eagles Aerie # 2467 in Hoosick Falls. Anna is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday November 6 at 1 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Calling hours will be from noon until the start of the service. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hoosick Falls, will follow the service. Memorial contributions to the Washington County Community Hospice may be made through the funeral home.[/private]
