Cambridge Valley Chamber Of Commerce Collaborates With Community And Arts Organizations For “Christmas In Cambridge Celebration”

November 19, 2015 By eastwickpress

The Cambridge Valley Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Hubbard Hall, Cambridge United Presbyterian Church and Valley Artisans Market, and others to create a special weekend for all.[private]Friday evening will feature the arrival of Santa Claus in a horse drawn sleigh, with carolers proceeding to the tree lighting and festivities at the Cambridge Public Library.  That evening, stroll Main Street, warming up at our fire pits while sipping warm beverages.  Many businesses will be open late, offering “Christmas Cash” which can be spent through the weekend at participating businesses.
Hubbard Hall is hosting a special Youth Chorale performance at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, along with providing ornament-making fun in the Village Store throughout the weekend. The Cambridge United Presbyterian Church will play host to a one man performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Saturday, with two seatings of a formal Victorian Tea.
A free drop-off service for children at Brieman from 10 am to 2 pm offers parents a chance to do some Christmas shopping.
Valley Artisans Market is planning a Holiday Open House with refreshments and artists demonstrations on Saturday, so plan on stopping in to see the beautiful locally made art and crafts.
Many other ideas are being worked on, and as always volunteers are needed.  If you are involved in an organization that would like to sponsor and maintain a fire pit, sell hot chocolate or other goodies, please contact the Cambridge Chamber.
