November 12, 2015 By eastwickpress

On Saturday, November 7, Jim Martinez, a Trustee of the Cheney Library in Hoosick Falls walks a berry-bedecked wreath with a bird and a burlap and ribbon bow, complete with its own window, around the room so that bidders at the Love Your Library Festival of Wreaths Auction can see it up close as Ron Seifert, the auctioneer, encouraged and cajoled bidders into bidding higher. This is just one of 38 creative and festive wreaths that were donated by community members and library lovers to help raise money to put a chair lift in the Library. There were wreaths for every season. The evenings activities also included trivia questions, door prizes, refreshments and a 50/50 raffle which was won by Joyce Seifert. She donated her winnings back to the Library. [/private]
