The quilters are honoring a past member of the group, Linda Holder, who contracted ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and passed away last year. Linda had made the tops and donated them to the Heavenly Quilters. The women finished the quilts and are selling tickets for a donation of $1 each or a book of six for $5.  Proceeds from the sale will be donated to the local chapter of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for more research into a cure for the dreadful disease.

Tickets are available at the Stephentown Memorial Library, The Stephentown Trading Post, The Pantry in Cherry Plain or from any member of the group.  For more information, please call Donna at 518-733-5278.

The Heavenly Quilters meet in the Stephentown Federated church parlors every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to noon.   This year, so far, they have donated 113 “cuddle quilts” to Quilts for Kids. [/private]
