Hoosick Falls Bowling Team Season Preview

December 3, 2015 By eastwickpress

submitted by Coach Bob Lang

The Hoosick Falls bowling team has both experienced and upcoming young bowlers that are ready to contend for the Adirondack League and Sectional titles.  [private]There are five starters back from last year’s team:   Josh McCart (12th) Co-Captain, Jennifer Sargood (12th) Co-Captain, Kyla Day (12th) Co-Captain, Jonathan Bossoni (11th), and A. J. Hurlburt (10th).  The bowlers who are ready to bowl at the Varsity level are:  Tyler Lindsey (11th), Matthew Bulson (11th), Dan Suite (11th), Lilli Williams  (10th), Christopher Snyder (9th), and Meghan Backes (9th).  The depth is what makes the team so strong.  It is our big advantage over most of the teams in the league.  The exhibition bowlers on the team this year are:   James Hynd (8th), Owynn Arnold (8th), Erin McCart (7th), and Ben Kapron (7th).  These bowlers cannot bowl on Varsity but will gain valuable experience being on the team this year which will help them in years to come.

Coach Lang said,“The team has been working very hard getting ready for the season to begin.  They know that they must work hard from week to week and take each match one at a time.  They know that patience pays off, especially on away lanes that are much different than our home lanes.  I’m very excited about the prospects of this team this year.  They are a good group of kids that love the game of bowling.  As long as we keep our heads and keep working hard to improve our game we should have a successful season.” [/private]
