Immediately after entering the village on Ball Street, the vehicle crossed the eastbound lane and went across the west corner of the lawn of Ken and Margaret Stevens. Just before entering the wooded area the vehicle grazed a 10 inch thick tree, ripping the drivers side mirror off. Twenty feet after entering the wooded area the vehicle went airborne for 15 feet over an embankment. The vehicle continued through the woods, shedding parts and pieces as it tore through the brush and saplings. It hit a 10 inch thick tree that it rode back up the embankment, finally coming to rest on the branches of the tree, just short of Easy Street.
The 47 year old male driver was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center by the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad with unknown injuries. The front of the truck received extensive damage.
The Village of Hoosick Falls Police and Fire Department also responded to the scene. [/private]
