This year was no exception.  With the light musical sounds of Betsy Colvin and Friends entertaining, a variety of refreshments on the tables, people got the chance to view several dozen hand decorated trees ranging in size from one to five feet.  This year’s program was sponsored by the Grafton Historical Society, which offered prizes in several categories.  This year’s winners in the Adult category were:  Elaine Snyder, Nuts for Christmas and for traditional entry, Sally Statile.  The winner in the Child’s category was Caleb Colangione for Santa’s Workshop. Children’s Group went to the Girl Scouts for Snow Flakes and Glitter.  Friends of Dyken Pond won the organizational prize for Enjoying Nature.  A tree with the 50s Beauty Salon theme took top Business honors for Hair or There.  Gabriella Colangione won for most traditional with Edible Christmas.  Most original, entitled Nature was a winner for Eliza Statile. The People’s Choice award for the Hero’s tree went to the Children’s Bible Study Group of the Grafton Baptist Church.

The Festival runs through Thursday, December 31.[/private]
