Henrietta Ann Harrison

Hoosick Falls – Henrietta Ann Harrison 84, passed away on Saturday January 2, 2016 at the Centers for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, New York.

[private]Hennie was born on July 25, 1931 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Stephen and Frances (Kania) Demick and was raised on the family farm in Stephentown, New York.

She graduated from Berlin High School, Class of 1948, and shortly thereafter met the love of her life, Warner “Ben” Harrison, whom she married on September 6, 1952. They resided on Griffin Avenue in Hoosick Falls, Ben died September 26, 2008.

She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She and Ben enjoyed spending summers at Hedges Lake and winters in Florida. More than anything, Hennie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves her children, Kimberly Harrison and Lee Ann Kilby (Doug) both of Tallahassee, Florida; Doug Harrison (Pam) and David Harrison (Heather) both of Hoosick Falls; as well as five grandchildren, Stephen, Patrick, Emily, Lauren and Evan. She also leaves one sister Wanda Hicks of Lebanon, NY. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Bernie, Sophie, Pauline, Louise, Agnes, Helen, Victoria and Virginia and her brothers Stephen, Chester, Walter, Edmund, Victor and Edward.

Hennie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls on Tuesday, January 5. Funeral services were held at the Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday January 6, at 11 am.  Burial followed the services at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Molly and Karen McGovern Fund through the funeral home.[/private]
