Lawrence A. Frier

Hoosick Falls – Lawrence A. “Larry” Frier, 69, passed away on Sunday December 27, 2015 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. He resided on River Road with his wife Madeline (Dee) Vertefeville Frier.

[private]Larry was born on September 4, 1946, son of the late John M. and Dorothy (Spendiff) Frier. He graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School, class of 1965. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War, working in communications. Larry worked for the Village of Hoosick Falls as a dispatcher and police officer. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles.

Survivors other than his wife Madeline include their children Lawrence A. (Kayla) Frier Jr. and Sheryl-Ann (Gary) Yeung, grandchildren Sean, Madeline, Emily, Erin Yeung and Charlene Frier, all of Hoosick Falls.

Funeral services were held Thursday December 31, at 11 am from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls on Wednesday evening, December 30. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Voice of the Vet or Maple Grove Cemetery through the funeral home.[private]
