The Petersburg Rod & Gun Club will be hosting its 5th Annual Ice Fishing Derby, February 6 from 6 am to 3 pm, on Dyken Pond, in Berlin. [private]Bring your family and friends for the competition and enjoy the great outdoors. There will be cash prizes (based on the number of entries) for perch, pickerel and crappie; food, raffles and many other prizes.
The entry fee is $10 adults, $5 for ages 12 and under. Participants can register at the dam at 5 am or pre-register at local sponsors, Papa’s Pizza, Rte. 2 Petersburgh (658-2700), Hewitt’s Market, Elm Street, Berlin 658-2801, Vonadeau Wine & Spirits, Main St., Berlin 658-2450 and Valley Tavern, Elm Street, Berlin 763-6826. Parking is available at the Dyken Pond Environmental Center.
