Second place went to Fort Plain with a total 5,229 followed by Middleburgh 5,188, Hoosic Valley 5,133, and Fort Edward 4,894.  Top bowler for Hoosick Falls was A.J. Hurlburt with a high game of 208 and a six game total of 1,129 followed by Jon Bossoni 247-1,075, Jennifer Sargood 212-1,074, Josh McCart 195-1,024, and Kyla Day 179-995.  Tyler Lindsey and Christopher Snyder were part of the team but did not bowl.  This was the 5th time in the last 10 years that the Hoosick Falls bowling team has won this title.

The team got off to a better start than last year with an 885 in the first game and followed that up with a 933 in the second game, and a 962 in the third game giving them a lead of 139 pins over second place Middleburgh after the morning round.

In the afternoon round they got off to a good start with a 925 game which increased their lead to 216 pins over second place Hoosic Valley.  With an 829 in the fifth game their lead shrunk to 193 pins over Hoosic Valley.  Luckily, they had built up a good lead going into the sixth game when they had their worst game of the tournament 763 when the lane conditions became very difficult on the sport shot that was being used for the tournament.  They finished 68 pins ahead of Fort Plain, who had their best game of the tournament with an 895, which resulted in a second place finish.  Jon Bossoni had the high game for the tournament with a great 247 game and A.J. Hurlburt had the second highest triple of the tournament with a nice 612 triple.

Coach Lang said, “This was a great way to end the season with a win at Sectionals along with our victories in the League Tournament and the League Championship.  The team worked very hard all year to achieve these goals and I’m proud how the team came together during the season.” [/private]
