Nancy M. Roberto

Hoosick Falls – Nancy M. Roberto 83, passed away peacefully in the arms of her children on Tuesday February 16, 2016. She resided at Wood Park Apartments among many of her close friends. She was the wife of the late Peter Roberto who died in 1993.

[private]Nancy was born on November 4, 1932 in Williamstown, Massachusetts, daughter of the late William and Marion (Kipp) Godfrey. She worked for twenty-eight years at the Tansitor Electronics as a supervisor until retiring in 2000.

Nancy was a people person who loved everyone, and would help anybody in anyway. She loved music, and she and her husband Pete had their own band, the Roberto Trio which they played at many local events. Nancy and Ramona, aka “Midnight Lace”, a DJ service, played for many local events with much enthusiasm. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the St. Stanislaw Society, both in Hoosick Falls.

Survivors include her children Linda Sickles (Paul) of Schenectady, NY, Gina Roberto-Bush (Wayne) of Petersburgh, NY and Jerry Roberto (Patty Jane Fleming) of Hoosick Falls, two grandchildren Jesse Lane (Alison Lane) and Rayna Koberstein (Shaun Cox) great grandson Bryan Lane also the Waitekus, Hackett, Nash, Spendiff, Murray and Roberto families. She is predeceased by a brother, Alan Godfrey.

Relatives and friends called Sunday February 21 at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls from 1 to 3 pm. A Memorial service was held at 3 pm. A celebration of Nancy’s life followed the service at the St. Stanislaw Society (Polish Hall) in Hoosick Falls.

Memorial contributions may be made to either a Veterans Organization or an Animal Shelter of your choice through the funeral home.[/private]
