The installation of the temporary GAC filters is nearing completion. After the tanks are filled with carbon on Friday, February 12, the mechanical part of the process will be complete. [private]
At that point, the NY State DOH and the EPA will take on the testing and pipe flushing process. They will continue to retest the water until they deem it to be safe before the system goes on line, and then continue to test it after it is in use. Free bottled water will continue to be available to Town and Village residents even after the filters are up and running. [/private]
