Excelsior is an all-age corps, but it does require parental participation for youth under age 14 as it focuses on building the character of tomorrow’s leaders.

Believing in funding the future, Excelsior has offered 15 scholarships to five different schools in order to provide “Green to Drum Corps” kids an opportunity to experience drum corps without the cost.

The Troy-based corps, which is celebrating its 12th year, joins other Bands slated to march in this year’s parade, including The Fyfes and Drums of Old Saratoga, Taconic Pipe Band, Berkshire Highlanders Pipes and Drums, Hoosick Falls Central School Pep Band and new this year, The Brass Brothers Band. To enter this years parade contact Kevin O’Malley at 518-894-5035.[/private]
