Diana E. Jansen

Diana Eileen Jansen, 73, a longtime resident of Hoosick Falls, NY and widow of the late Werner Jansen, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Port Richey, Florida after a long illness. Diana was the devoted mother to four children: Denise Baldwin of Brentwood, NY, Kelly Granger of Brunswick, NY, Eric Jansen of Eagle Bridge, NY, and Marine Corps Master Sergeant William Jansen of Fredericksburg, VA, as well as her stepdaughters, Linda Brown of Duluth, GA, and Karen Bellon of Powder Springs, GA.

[private]Ob-JansenWDiana’s surviving siblings include five sisters: Arlene Kasarjian, Olga Wilson, and Delores Haystrand of Florida, Catherine Anderson and Barbara Mastrup of Long Island, NY, and one brother, William Cullam, also of Long Island, NY. She was a grandmother to seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren, and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

As a longtime member of New Life Christian Church in Cambridge, NY, and as an active member of Light of the World Tabernacle Church in Port Richey, Diana was a dedicated Christian volunteer. Furthermore, she volunteered in various community youth organizations out of southern Vermont that focused on the arts.

Calling hours will be held at the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls, NY on Friday, March 11 from 3 to 7 pm. Family and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Life Service that will take place at the Old First Church in Bennington, VT on Saturday, March 12 at 10 am. The burial will immediately follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, NY.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Bennington Children’s Chorus.[/private]
