Gregory Neil Manchester

Petersburgh–Gregory Neil Manchester, 57, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY.  Born in Bennington, VT on January 16, 1959, he was the son of the late Neil and Lois Case Manchester.  Greg was a resident of Petersburgh most of his life and was a graduate of Berlin High School.  

[private]manchester deer sceneWHe worked construction for over 25 years as a union laborer for Local 190 in Albany before retiring a couple of years ago.  He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the National Trappers Association.  Greg was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and trapping especially at his camp in the Adirondacks in Union Falls.

He is the beloved husband of Colleen S. Walker Manchester; devoted father of Darel G. (Tammy Reichelt) Manchester and Corey N. (Daisy) Manchester both of Petersburgh; proud grandfather of Allie Elizabeth Manchester and Dylan Neil Manchester; dear brother of Amy Manchester of Petersburgh and Beth Manchester of Pittstown.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful dog, Beauty.

Relatives and friends called at the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home in Petersburgh on Sunday afternoon, March 20.  A celebration of his life service was held at 5 pm.
