Petersburgh’s Town Highway crew cut the pavement out around the front of the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center preparatory to re-grading it to make it fully handicapped accessible. [private]
The new grade will be shaped with “crusher run” gravel and tamped down to form a solid surface.
The area will be repaved when the asphalt plants open for the season again in about a month. When completed, the surface of the parking lot will be flush with the concrete landing poured last fall, so that there will be no impediment for wheelchair access from the parking lot.[/private]
