Paul E. Corbin

Hoosick Falls – Paul E. Corbin, 80, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 15, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. He resided on Babcock Lake Road with his wife Katherine (MacInnis) Corbin.

[private]PaulCorbinwPaul was born on June 1, 1935 in Troy, NY, son of the late Percil and Mary Catherine (Smith) Corbin. He was educated at Troy Public Schools and graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. Paul served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He was employed at Holmes Transportation of Framingham, MA as a truck driver until retiring in 1989. After retiring he liked to work on lawn mowers and enjoyed landscaping with his Kubota and John Deere. His biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family and his dog, Joy. Paul and his wife were members of the Hoosick Baptist Church.

Survivors other than his wife Katherine include their children Debra Taber (Toby) of White Creek, NY; Susan James (Tom), Anne Marie Ferrannini (Joe) all of Hoosick Falls, NY; Mary Corbin (late Willie J. Johnson, Jr.) of Brunswick, NY; Jackie Corbin and Kristin Corbin-Becker (Scott) all of Hoosick Falls, NY; a sister Catherine O’Dell of Grafton, NY; also, 7 grandchildren: Lindsay Miner (Chris), Wendy Taber, Katie Carroll, Michelle James, Ryan Corbin, Patrick Taber, Taylor Corbin and 3 great-grandchildren: Jacob Villena, Lucas Villena and Aubrey Reed. Paul is predeceased by a son Patrick Corbin, his first wife Barbara Rogers, his sisters Alice Fitzgerald and Lurana Parker, and very special friends Henry and Allison Wysocki.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 18, at 4 pm from the Hoosick Baptist Church on South Street, in Hoosick. Burial followed the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends called at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are under the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls.[/private]
