Mary Lou Walters is writing a book “Remembrances of the Old Families of Petersburgh” and is looking for families who she has not yet included. This book will be in honor of the 225th anniversary of Petersburgh’s founding and will be sold at cost.

She would also like funny or interesting stories of old Petersburgh to use as fillers, so if you know a story please contact her. For Instance, Beverly Rose Kantrowitz moved here as a child because of her parents fear of Albany being bombed during WWII. She told the Petersburgh children’s war efforts such as picking milk weed pods for parachute fillers.[/private]
