Stephentown Memorial Library Upcoming Events

Monthly Lego Club – Friday, March 4 at 6 pm. Do you have a Lego enthusiast who could spend hours and hours every day engrossed with creative building? The Lego Club meets on a Friday night each month for an hour of building fun. There is no sign-up or charge.  Donations of Lego blocks are most welcome at the library desk.  

[private]Parenting Class – Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) method of parenting with Bruce Weiner & Ryan Steller.  **7 week class to meet on 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, & 4/27** The course will consist of the basics tenets of Parent Effectiveness Training, the positive character education focus on problem solving with children and other issues brought up by parents during the course.  This great class is helpful for parents with children of any age, from birth to teens.

Bruce Weiner is the head of Psychological services for the Berlin School district and an experienced parent educator. He lives with his wife in Hancock, MA and is the parent of two grown sons. Ryan Steller is School Counselor at Berlin Elementary School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont and her Masters in Education in school counseling from The College of Saint Rose. She lives in Hoosick Falls with her husband and daughter. The only cost will be $15 for course workbooks and this can be waived for those with financial need.

Stephentown Memorial Library invites you to join us for this helpful class. All are welcome!  Reservations are required, as space for this class is limited. Please call the Stephentown Memorial Library at (518) 733-5750 to reserve a space.

Celtic Concert – Local group, Seonhaid, will perform at the Stephentown Memorial Library on Friday, March 18 at 7 pm.  This event is free and open to all. There will be coffee and refreshments served.  Seonhaid explores traditional celtic music and original works using bagpipes, keyboard, guitar, percussion, violin, cello, and vocals to interpret the celtic tradition. Registration is appreciated.

Easter Egg Hunt at Stephentown Memorial Library: Saturday, March 19. 1 pm – Meet the Easter Bunny, Games and fun activities – Easter Egg Hunt at 1:30 pm.  Rain or Shine.  Looking for something fun to do with the kids? Come to the Stephentown Memorial Library for an Easter Egg Hunt.  There will be activities and fun for all ages, Easter games including Bunny Hop Race and Egg Toss, Egg Coloring, and a visit by the Easter Bunny!  Preregistration is appreciated. Sponsored by Town of Stephentown.
