Town Of Petersburgh Announces New Procedures For Water Distribution

March 3, 2016 By eastwickpress

Effective Wednesday, March 2 Town of Petersburgh water distribution will be done this way:

Residents must obtain water tickets from the Town Clerk at the town hall. [private]These were available starting Monday, February 29. A week’s worth of tickets will be issued at a time. Each ticket will be good for 1 gallon of water. Each resident will be entitled to one gallon per person per day. Thus a family of 2 would receive 14 tickets.

Water will be distributed at the back of the Town Hall from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesdays (starting March 2) and from 9 am to noon on Saturdays. Simply give the attendant 1 ticket for each gallon you receive.

Water can also be obtained at the Tops Store in Hoosick Falls during its regular business hours (7 am to 9 pm) 7 days a week. Go to the service desk and give the clerk anywhere from 1 to 5 tickets. You will be instructed from there where to get your water. At Tops you will be limited to 5 gallons per trip. If you do not already have one you will be required to get a Tops card.

Please note that ONLY residents of the Town of Petersburgh are entitled to receive water.[/private]
