Vivian J. Matte

Hoosick Falls – Vivian J. Matte, 74, passed away on Sunday March 20, at the Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center. She resided on Route 22 in Hoosick Falls.

[private]Vivian was born on April 2, 1941, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Jacob and Virginia (Myers) Weber. She attended schools in Hoosick Falls and was employed at Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury, Vermont. Vivian enjoyed decorating her home, restoring furniture, tending her flower gardens and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children Regina Trahan (Robert) of VA, Reginald Matte (Belinda), Gary (Val Orlop) all of Hoosick Falls, Marcel Matte (Frankca) of PA, and Maurice Matte (Melissa) of Hoosick Falls, her sister Paula Leslie and brother Jake Weber both of Eagle Bridge, brother Paul Weber of Buskirk, also nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Vivian is predeceased by a brother Herman Weber, grandchild Andrew Matte, and a great-grandchild Shyla Matte.

Funeral services were held Thursday March 24, at 1 pm at the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the service at Center White Creek Cemetery. Relatives and  friends called at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund or the American Heart Association through the Mahar Funeral Home 43 Main Street Hoosick Falls, New York 12090.[/private]
