Bryan Joseph Galvagni

Hoosick Falls – Bryan Joseph Galvagni, 38, of Hoosick Falls, passed away peacefully on April 10, while surrounded by his loving family.  He was the son of Joseph and Carol Shiland Galvagni. 

[private]Although he had many interests, Bryan mostly cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends. Bryan’s infectious spirit, warm heart and zest for life live on through his children. He shared his love for sports with his daughters through coaching their softball and soccer teams. Bryan had a love for outdoor activities such as fishing and bow hunting. Bryan was an avid music lover, attended concerts and played guitar. For many years, Bryan enjoyed working along side his close friends in the floor sanding business.

Survived by the loves of his life, daughters Haley Rose and Anna Kate, their mother Amy Galvagni, mother Carol Galvagni Holzhauer, step-father Tim Holzhauer, sister Stacey Galvagni Frasier, brother-in-law Gary Frasier, nieces Molly and Claire, nephew Grady, several aunts, uncles, and cousins and his devoted in-laws, John and Dodie Vars.

He was predeceased by his father Joe Galvagni, paternal grandparents Ceaser and Adrienne Galvagni, maternal grandparents Tink and Peg Shiland and grandmother Bea Shiland.

In his high school career,  Bryan played football, baseball, and was King of his prom at Hoosick Falls Central. He graduated in 1995. From there, Bryan went on to play football for Dean College, and later attended Plattsburgh College where he graduated in 1999. Bryan worked as a production manager and editor at Hemmings Motor news and IT at Plasan in Bennington VT.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday April 16 at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls on Friday afternoon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Haley and Anna Galvagni Education Fund at M&T Bank through the funeral home.[/private]
