Daniel B. Green

North Hoosick – Daniel B. Green, 68, passed away on Wednesday April 13, at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. He resided on Route 67 in North Hoosick.

[private]Ob-Green-wDaniel was born on November 21, 1947 in Hoosick Falls, son of the late James J. and Eleanor (LaMar) Green. He graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School. Daniel owned and operated Green’s Towing & Recovery in North Hoosick for many years. He formerly worked at Albany White Trucks in Albany, NY. He was a member of the North Hoosick Fire Department and N.E. Towing Association.

Survivors include his daughter Jennifer Green of Hoosick Falls, sisters Barbara Green and Elizabeth Green both of Bennington, VT, brother William Green of North Hoosick, NY, grandson Carter Green, and longtime companion Laura Jones. He is predeceased by two sisters Eleanor Fairbanks and Catherine Steele and three brothers James, John and George Green.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday April 18, at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.

Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home in Hoosick Falls on Sunday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Second Chance Animal Shelter, Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund, Derby Club of Hoosick Falls or the North Hoosick Fire Department through the funeral home.[/private]
