Elsie Miller

West Stephentown- Elsie C. Miller 79, of Rte.43 died on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the home of her daughter, after a long illness. Born in Troy, Elsie was the daughter of the late Ervin and Helen Geerholt Teal and wife of the late Arnold L. “Jitterbug” Miller. [private]Elsie was a lifelong resident of the area and had worked for a short time at Cluett & Peabody in Troy and the Prugel family of Averill Park where she made christmas wreaths and cemetery blankets.  Elsie was a lifelong homemaker and caregiver to her family. Elsie enjoyed card games, dancing, crafts, fishing, gardening and being in the audience listening to live music.

Elsie was the mother of the late Joyce H. Miller, sister of the late Ervin Teal Jr., Edith Robbins, Alberta Sears, Judith Marchand and Esther Holt.

Survivors include her daughter Patricia A. Smith of Averill Park, her brother Jackie Teal of Saratoga, her sisters Evelyn Myott of Poestenkill and Beverly Stockholm of West Sand Lake, her granddaughters Tami (Everett) Carter, Crisy (late Todd Denue) Geerholt and Kimberly Geerholt and her great grandchildren Gabby, Ruby, Miracle, Cadyn and Jathian and her dear friend & caregiver Scott Luzinski.

Relatives and Friends are invited and may call at the West Stephentown Baptist Church 1672 NY 43 West Stephentown on Sunday May 1, 2 to 4 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 4 pm.
