Etola Beers

Berlin – Etola S. Williams Beers, 102, of Bloomingrove Drive died on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at the Van Rensselaer Manor after a short illness. Born June 27, 1913 in East Poestenkill, Etola was the daughter of the late Orrie N. and Ethel Mae Maxon Teal and wife of the late Osborne Williams, Ronald Simpson and Lester F. Beers. [private]Etola had resided in Berlin, Petersburgh and Averill Park before moving to No. Greenbush  several years ago. Etola had been a machine operator with the Standard Mfg. Co., Berk-Rays and during WWll at the Watervliet Arsenal. Etola’s last job was with the Cowee Co. in Berlin where she was a sorter and retired in 1979. Etola was a former member of the Berlin United Methodist Church, Chapter 500 of the Eastern Star in Petersburgh and the Berlin Senior Citizens.

Etola was the sister of the late Norma I. Teal and Nellie I. Wright and stepsister of the late Claude Maxon, Blanche Tinger and Elizabeth Gardner.

Survivors include her daughter Mary E. Smith of Averill Park, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel at Glass Lake in Averill Park on Saturday morning prior to an 11 am service.

Donations in memory of Etola S. Beers may be made to the Capital Campaign Fund of the Zion UCC Taborton, 747 Taborton Road, Sand Lake, NY 12153.
