Boy Scout Troop 222 Eagle Scouts Trevor Hall and Michael Zlotnick were honored this past week by Rensselaer County Executive Kathy Jimino, Legislative Chairman Stan Brownell and the full legislature.  Both scouts recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, which requires each youth to complete a project that benefits his community.  [private]

Hall’s endeavor was the construction of the new lighted sign for the Petersburgh Town Hall.  Zlotnick’s project was completing a new walking trail along the north side of the lake at Cherry Plain State Park.

It was also announced at the ceremony that Scoutmaster Andy Zlotnick has been named Scoutmaster of the Year for the Twin River Council’s Mohikan Division.  Eagle Scouts Hall and Zlotnick were praised by County officials for their leadership qualities, sense of community and the positive examples they set for their peers.  Hall resides in Berlin, the Zlotnicks are residents of Petersburgh.[/private]
