New Lebanon Library April Events Schedule

April 13, 20, 27 – Small Wonders Storytime – 10 am. Songs, movement activities and age-appropriate stories for our younger patrons and their caregivers. For toddlers up to 35 months. 

[private]April 13, 20, 27 – Preschool Story Hour – 11 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs, and movement activities. For 35 months to 5 yrs.

April 8 – Sean Gaskell in concert – 6:30 pm. Traditional songs and original compositions for the West African Kora.

April 15 – The Hale Mountain Pickers in concert – 6:30 pm. An evening of old time-y bluegrass-y goodness.

April 17 – David Grover & Linda Worster in concert – 2 pm. Folk, rock & original tunes.

April 19 – Climate Change: What’s the Big Deal? – 6:30 pm. Forum to educate people about climate change and discussion on the issues surrounding it. Free and open to the public.

April 21 – Fun Family Crafts – 4:30 pm. Join us and make your own paracord bracelet to decorate your backpack or coat. All materials provided.

April 22 – Alexis Haluska in concert – 6:30 pm. An evening of acoustic folk and original tunes.

April 21 & 28 – Oscar Film Series – 6:30 pm. Weekly screening of one of this year’s Academy Award nominees. Call for title. Free and open to the public.

April 24 – Learn to play the Irish tinwhistle – 6 pm. Join Aubrey Atwater and learn to play a few Irish dance tunes. Bring your own tinwhistle or purchase one for $10

April 26 – Bingo for kids – 1:30 pm. Bingo, prizes and fun for kids ages 5-12.

April 27 – Lyme Prevention and Treatment – 6 pm. Forum led by a Public Health Education Officer and nurse from the Columbia County Health Dept to discuss Lyme Disease and answer questions.

April 29 – Family Movie Night – 6:30 pm. Free screening of a current film suitable for the whole family. Call for title.

April 30 – Paws-to-Read – 10:30 am. Therapy dogs come to the library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call to register.
