After overcoming many challenges the past six months, including a damaging furnace fire that left her shop closed 8 days, Donna Warner, owner of Papa’s Pizzeria, Inc. on Route 2 in Petersburgh, re-opened the shop on Thursday, April 21.
[private]Warner hired a legal team to represent her at the beginning of March to resolve an ongoing NYS sales tax issue she’d been trying to resolve herself. She was assured by that legal team on Tuesday, April 12 that her account had been placed on hold while in negotiations with the state. On Wednesday, April 13 she was left in shock as the State seized her shop and was told by her legal counsel there was nothing more they could do. She hired a new attorney who has been able to come to a reasonable resolution, enabling her to re-open for business.
She is adjusting the hours of operation to: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday 11:30 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30 am to 9 pm. The shop will now be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.[/private]
