Paul Rivard

Berlin – Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Paul S. Rivard Jr., age 75, from Berlin, New York, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at South Western Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont.

[private]Ob-Rivard-wBorn on December 16, 1940, Paul Rivard was the son of Paul and Genevieve Rivard of Hoosick Falls, New York. He was the loving and committed husband of Marjorie C. Rhodes from Berlin, New York, father to Melissa Liebenow (Keith) and adoring grandfather of Dustin W. Liebenow. He is also survived by three younger sisters, Paulette Sukuskas, Patricia Trombley and Ann Marie Hatch.

Paul was a kind, robust man with a deep commitment to providing for his family.  He was a master builder, erecting beautiful homes throughout upstate New York for almost 50 years. Paul was also an avid NASCAR fan and liked horse racing.

Funeral services will be Tuesday April 26, at 11:00 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Burial will follow the service at the Stephentown Cemetery in Stephentown, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday April 25 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Berlin Rescue Squad.[/private]
