The Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad awarded honorary membership to Medical Director Dr. James Carroll of Village Primary Care.
At certain times, the Squad honors someone special with this membership, which includes a plaque.

All ambulance services operate under the license of their Medical Directors. All extra services provided by the Squad have to be approved and initialed by the Medical Advisor. Dr Carroll has approved defibrillation, glucometers (for measuring blood sugar), nebulizer albuterol, epi-pens (and most recently “check and inject,” a program providing the filling from a vial and injecting epinephrine for severe allergic reactions, replacing costly epi-pens), nasal Narcan for reversing narcotic overdoses and aspirin protocol for heart attack patients.
The Rescue Squad has provided service to the community of Hoosick since 1957, and for the past twenty five years have appreciated Dr. Carroll’s helping them to move forward in the field of patient care. While Dr. Carroll was unable to attend the Squad’s annual awards event, his plaque was awarded at his office by Deb Lohnes, Squad Vice-President, and Bill Gaillard of the Training Department.[/private]
