May 7, 9 am to 4 pm – I Love My Park Day: Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site, NY State Route 67, Walloomsac, NY. Volunteers are needed for a planting project to beautify the picnic area of the park. Appropriate for all ages. Participants may bring their own trowels. Green thumbs encouraged. Help beautify the site for Spring.RSVP required. No cost.[private]May 12, 3 pm – Friends of Bennington Battlefield Meeting: Hoosick Falls Jr./Sr. High School, 21187 NY 22, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090. The Friends of Bennington Battlefield meet to plan events and other projects that support presentation of the history of the battle. Open to the public and new members are welcome. No RSVP. No cost.
May 21, 1 pm – Nature Hike: Battle Loop Trail Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site, NY State Route 67, Walloomsac, NY. Learn how to read the landscape on this nature-themed program. Appropriate footwear and attire recommended. RSVP required. No cost.
May 30 – Memorial Day Walking Tour: Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site, NY State Route 67, Walloomsac, NY. Observe Memorial Day by joining us for a tour of the Battlefield. Learn how the Battle of Bennington unfolded and about the sacrifices militiamen made in defense of their homes and nascent country. RSVP required. No cost.[/private]
