Berlin July 4 Parade Planning Underway

Berlin’s 2016 July 4th parade will be held on Monday, July 4, stepping off at 11 am. The theme this year is, “AMERICANA”. We invite you and/or your organization or business to join us in celebrating Independence Day 2016 by participating in our annual parade, the only July 4th parade in Rensselaer County! There is no entry fee![private]
The Grand Prize for a non-commercial float is $125. There are six other cash prizes and a variety of ribbons for first second and third place in various categories. In addition to floats and fire companies, there will be prizes for Marching Groups; Farm Equipment; Autos/Classic/Modified; Horseback Riders; Autos/Antique; Trucks; Bicycles. Costumed walkers as well as costumed riders on horses will be judged as one group.
Bicycles must be decorated. because of legal restrictions, no ATVs will be allowed except for those pulling a float with a rigid support.
We encourage you to use the theme in planning your entry but it is not required. We will be thrilled to have you join us!
