Charles E. Smith

Stephentown – Charles E. Smith, 81, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.[private]
Charles was born in Hudson, New York a son of the late Walter and Mary Kukon Smith. He was a 1953 graduate of Hudson High School and the GE Apprentice Course. He retired from the General Electric Company in Pittsfield, where he worked in the Ordnance Division.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Hilda M. Schrufer Smith. Survivors include his loving daughter, Wanda C. Hawkins; and his brother Harold Smith.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. To remember Charles in a special way, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department, 396 NY 43, Stephentown, New York 12168.
