Charter Communications Takeover Of Time Warner May Bring Service To More Houses In Grafton

May 26, 2016 By eastwickpress

By Doug La Rocque
Grafton Supervisor Ingrid Gundrum said that as part of Charter Communications acquisition of Time Warner Cable, Charter is guaranteeing to provide service to the 147 thousand households that are currently without cable services.  This includes many homes in Grafton.  [private]Gundrum said, “as part of the purchase agreement, Charter will be undertaking infrastructure upgrades and improvements to provide service where none has been available thus far.”
Any Grafton residents who have not yet received cable service from Time Warner, and who wish to do so, are asked to call the Town Hall at 279-3565 to have their name and property address added to the list being compiled for Charter.  Residents may also email their request to supervisorgundrum@albany.twcbc.com.  It was only last year that Time Warner began to provide cable service to the community.  Grafton was the last town in Rensselaer County to acquire some form of cable.
The takeover does not impact Berlin or Petersburgh, as those towns are currently serviced by Charter Communications.[/private]
