The EC Fund provides funds to allow children of the Town of Hoosick to pursue sports activities they may not otherwise be able to do. Over the past 11 years, the EC Fund has given over $50,000 for everything from sneakers to helping children attend sports camps. Since its inception, the EC Fund has helped hundreds of children.
The EC Fund was established in the name of Ed Carknard of Hoosick Falls, who passed away at age 44 from colon cancer. Ed loved sports and his family thought a nice way to remember him would be to help children be able to participate in sports in his name. [/private]
