Girls Scouts Have A Successful Cookie Season

May 12, 2016 By eastwickpress

The Hoosick Falls Girl Scouts want to thank everyone who purchased cookies this year. Thanks to you, 12,516 boxes were sold.[private] Our girls use the funds raised from cookies to do things for their community and beyond. Over 250 boxes were given to Mission- Send a Smile; a program to send cookies to our military.
Troop 1738, a troop of 1st and 2nd graders, donated boxes to the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center. Troop 1144 wants to thank D&D Vending, Doug’s Oil, Culnan Insurance, Lovejoy, Sternberg & Gorman, and Village Primary Care for donations helping them send cookies to NY Presbyterian Children’s Hospital.
Troop 1234 used cookie funds to purchase flowers and garden decorations that were used to clean and decorate the gardens at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home. If there is anything that can make cracking open a box of Girl Scout Cookies even better, it’s knowing that you’ve contributed to helping Girl Scouts learn the skills they need to succeed in life and make the world a better place.[/private]
