HFCS Baseball Has A Busy Week

With so many postponed and sectionals coming next week, all the HFCS sports teams have had and will continue to have busy schedules.[private]

HF 3 – Greenwich 5
HFCS, 5/10. O 9-5, L 7-4. Tyler Lindsey and Reilly Bacon each had a hit for Hoosick Falls but it wasn’t enough to outscore the Witches. Wyatt Whitman took the loss on the mound.
HF 2 – Stillwater 0
HFCS, 5/6. O 9-4, L 7-3. Stillwater 2-10. Hoosick Falls scored two runs in third inning and that was all they needed to get a win. Ryan Sanders led the offense with an RBI single and a double and Wyatt Whitman had an RBI single. Noah Conety pitched a one-hitter, with six strikeouts and two walks.
HF 6 – Granville 6
HFCS, 5/6. The Panthers and Horde played in the cold rain to a 6-6 tie before the game was postponed at the end of the regulation seven innings. The rest of the game will be played at a later date.
HF 1 – Hoosic Valley 3
Hoosic Valley HS, 5/5. O 8-4, L 6-3. HV O 9-1. Always tough Hoosic Valley held the Panthers to one second inning run to take the win. Noah Conety had two singles to record two of the Panthers four hits, while HV had four hits of their own. Wyatt Whitman took the loss on the mound.
HF 12 – Cambridge 3
Cambridge HS, 5/3. O 8-3, L 6-2, Cambridge O 3-8, L 1-6. Hoosick Falls scored in five of seven innings to outpace the Indians. Noah Conety (3-1) grabbed the win on the mound. Wyatt Whitman had a big day at the plate with three singles and six RBI’s. Connor McCart had two singles, and Riley Bacon and Alex Mendez each had two singles and scored twice.[/private]
