Kurt R. John

East Nassau- Kurt R. John, 81, of Tsatsawassa Lake Road, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his residence after a long illness. Born on April 25, 1934 in Queens, NY, Kurt was the son of the late Kurt A. and Clara Allmandinger John. Kurt resided in East Nassau for the past 72 years and worked the family farm along with his parents his whole working career. [private]Kurt was a follower of Native American Heritage and participated in Native American programs. Kurt was a longtime member of the Hoags Corners Fire Company, loved animals of all types and enjoyed his collection of tractors.
Survivors include several cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake in Averill Park on Wednesday May 11 from 6 to 7 pm, followed by a Service at 7 pm.
