Ladies Softball Has Up And Down Week

HF 2 – Greenwich 11
HFCS, 5/10. Hoosick Falls struggled to hit the ball against Greenwich. Two hits late in the game weren’t enough after the Panthers had fallen behind by 10 runs before they scored. Sabrina Whitehouse hit two out of the park home runs for Greenwich. Alyssa Ellis pitched for the Panthers.
HF 6 – Stillwater 7 (Game 2)[private]

HFCS, 5/9. Erika Quackenbush hit two home runs but it wasn’t enough as the Panthers fell by one to the Warriors. Alyssa Ellis also had two hits. Abby Gilson, Madeline Atherton and Liz Ryan each had one hit. Quackenbush took the loss on the mound.
HF 7 – Stillwater 4 (Game 1)
HFCS, 5/9. The Panthers scored four runs in the second inning and stayed in the lead the rest of the way to grab a win. Mackenzie Ellis doubled and Sydney Miller went 2 of 3. Pitcher Alyssa Ellis got the win.
HF 9 – Ticonderoga 3
Lake George Tournament, 5/7. In the consolation game, Hoosick Falls exploded for nine runs and Erika Quackenbush was the winning pitcher. Stephanie Merwin went 3 for 3 including a double, Sydney Miller had a double and two singles, while Alyssa Ellis and Quackenbush each had two hits.
HF 3 – Duanesburg 4
Lake George Tournament, 5/7. After Duanesburg scored three runs in the sixth inning to grab a 4-1 lead, the Panthers scored two runs in the top of the seventh to get within one run of tying the game, but that was as close as they could come to pulling out a win. Sydney Miller went 3 for 4 with a double and two singles and Erika Quackenbush was 2 of 4.[/private]
