The Petersburgh Public Library in cooperation with the Upper Library System offers free downloads of over 30,000 ebooks, audiobooks and videos with more being added all the time. [private]Using your library card you can access these items on line. If you do not have a library card stop by and get one even if all you want to do is access the electronic collection. If this is all new to you please stop by the library and ask the staff about it. On Wednesday, May 11 from 2 to 3 pm, Deanna DiCarlo, manager of adult and outreach services from the Upper Hudson Library System will be at the library to assist anyone who wants to get started or is having problems with their electronic devices such as kindle, nook, tablet, smart phone, computer, etc. So, please stop by and learn why people are excited about electronic books.
On Saturday, May 21 from 9 am to 1 pm the library is having its annual plant/bake/book/tag sale. Donations of plants, baked goods and books would be greatly appreciated. Or plan to stop by and support the library.
The next books discussion will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 7 pm. when the book “Devotion” by Adam Makos will be discussed. You are also invited to weekly activities at the library which include Legos, Mondays 3 to 5 pm. Story Hour, Tuesdays, 11 am, Adult and youth Coloring, Tuesday, 3 to 5 pm, Knitting, Wednesdays, 3:30 to 5 pm.[/private]
