The Town of Hoosick Baseball and Softball League fields were filled to the brim with softball players as the league hosted its biggest tournament ever over the weekend. The three competing age groups were 8 and under, 10 and under and 12 and under.
The 12 and under championship game was between Pizza Bella of Hoosick Falls and Ed’s Plumbing of Salem. Salem won the division. The 10 and under championship game was between South Glens Falls and the Northern Columbia Chaos. South Glens Falls won the division. The 8 and under game was between Glens Falls National Bank of Cambridge and the Brunswick Devils. The Brunswick Devils won the division.
Everyone enjoyed the games, french fries, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and the comfortable temperatures of the three days. The competitors played to win but had fun doing it. Coaches encouraged and instructed the players as the parents cheered for good plays.[/private]
