Ashley E. Bentley

Ashley E. Bentley, 29, a longtime resident of East Poestenkill, died on Sunday June 5, 2016 at Ellis Hospital after being stricken at her residence. Ashley was born in Albany and was the beloved daughter of Alan E. and Gloria Goodermote Bentley of East Poestenkill. Ashley was raised in Berlin and East Poestenkill and was a 2006 graduate of the Berlin High School. 

[private]Ashley Bentley wAshley had resided in Schenectady for the past 3 years and volunteered at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and the Meals on Wheels Program. Ashley enjoyed listening to music, animals, drawing, jigsaw puzzles and most importantly Ashley loved her “Hugs.” Ashley had attended the Wesleyan Church.

Ashley was the granddaughter of the late Gilbert and Nancy Goodermote, Edward Bentley, Dorothy Bentley Vars and Wesley Vars.

Survivors in addition to her parents include her devoted sister Nicole Bentley of East Poestenkill and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday June 11 at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel,  2691 NY 43, at Glass Lake in Averill Park. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral chapel on Friday from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery in East Poestenkill.
