The Wreath Auction held in November 2015 raised enough money for the Friends of Cheney Library to purchase a stair chair to go from the main floor of the library to the basement level. [private]
It was installed by Prime Care Medical Equipment of Albany, NY on Monday, May 9. The chair lift is very easy to operate, just turn the seat to get on, buckle up, turn the seat back, and push the button to go down, and vice versa.
Cheney Library is very thankful for the assistance of the Friends group; in other years they have purchased a gas insert for the fireplace so that we have a cozy spot to sit and read. They also helped with the Children’s Room in the basement which is a most delightful place for kids to read and play.
