Peebles Island State Park will host “Chickens in your Backyard”, a beginner poultry class through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County, on Saturday June 18 at noon in the Visitor Center located at One Delaware Avenue in Waterford, NY.
[private]Come learn about how to successfully raise chickensright in your own backyard. Topics include how to choose a breed that works best for you, housing, feeding, production, and basic maintenance of your flock. The class is geared towards beginners but will also include tips for improving egg and meat production for those with established coops.
