Jazzed for Literacy – And Wine Tasting!

On Friday, June 24, music lovers and friends of literacy are invited to an evening of jazz, wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres with Sonny and Perley at the elegant Hilton Garden Inn, 235 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY. All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers.[private] Doors open at 6:30 pm. Silent auction and music begin at 7 pm. Reservations can be made by calling 518-274-8526 or online at www.lvorc.org. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door. A table for six is $150. Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau are a husband and wife duo who perform the timeless standards of the Great American Songbook such as the works of Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin and Cole Porter as well as the Bossa Nova melodies of Antonio Carlos Jobim.[/private]
