The PTA recognizes the expanding performing and visual arts programs at HFCS and awarded Arts Scholarships to two talented students from these areas; Heidi Bossoni for her talents demonstrated through drawing and painting and Darrell Holovach for his musical talent and involvement in theater.
The Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Education was also awarded to Darrell Holovach for his outstanding musical talent, teacher recommendation and his desire to prepare for a career in teaching.
The Stanley Marcus Humanitarian Award was presented to Jake Kinney for his dedication to public service through his participation in the Christmas Wish, town-wide cleanups, fundraising events, tutoring, mentoring and providing his talents by performing “Taps” during Memorial and Veterans Day events.  His involvement with the Boy Scouts further demonstrates his commitment to service.
The Scholarship committee was impressed with all the applications received and congratulates this year’s recipients on their exceptional work.[/private]
