Megan Flynn, Jake Kinney, and Alexandria Betit were chosen for exhibiting the attitude and character traits of beloved family member, friend and community member Judge Richard Whalen. These traits include, but are not limited to, patriotism and a deep level of commitment to their community through volunteerism. Congratulations to Megan, Jake and Alexandria, who received their scholarships at the HFCS Awards Ceremony this week.
This is the first year The Honorable Richard P. Whalen Memorial Scholarship has been given. The scholarship, which is open to all students in the Town of Hoosick regardless of what school they attend or if they are home-schooled, is being co-sponsored by Judge Whalen’s wife and son, Joyce and Kevin Whalen and Voice of a Vet.[/private]
